National service scheme (N.S.S)

This Extracurricular activity was initiated in the institution in the year 2004.It is one of the student support facilities to make the campus stay memorable. The institution has strengthened its social contacts by organizing annual camps at the neighborhood villages. At present there is one NSS unit of 100 volunteers batch in the institution, Prof . Mahadik. T. A is the NSS Programme officer.

Objectives

  • Holistic development of learners through Extracurricular activities
  • To expose learners to rural life and it’s issues
  • To make learnedrs responsible citizens
  • To educate the masses with different extension activities for the sustainable development

Routine Activities:

  • The regular activities like cleaning of the college campus
  • Maintenance of play ground,
  • Planting trees and watering them regularly
  • Maintaining  good sanitation,
  • Cleaning drainage and roads on every Sunday in the village.

NSS volunteer who takes part in the community service programme would either be a college level or a senior secondary level student. Being an active member these student volunteers would have the exposure and experience to be the following:


1. An accomplished social leader.
2. An efficient administrator.
3. A person who understands human nature.

National service scheme is an Indian government sponsored programme under the department of sports and youth affairs government of India. It was started on 24th September 1969 under the Shivaji University department of N.S.S. This Scheme is maintained in each senior college. Our college has N.S.S unit of 100 Students and Prof. Mahadik T.A is the programme officer of N.S.S unit.

2017-18

A special camp for 7 days were held in Balgaon (Ta-jath) and one student Mr. Bandagr Shivashankar Suryakant selected state level special camp under Maharashtra Government held at Goveli (Mumbai).

2018-19

A special camp for 7 days were held in Balgaon (Ta-jath) and 50 students are actively participated in this camp and one student Mr.Kamble Anand Vaijyanath selected state level camp under shivaji University, Kolhapur held in Shrimant. Babasaheb Deshmukh Mahavidyalay, Aatapadi.

2019-20

A special camp for 7 days were held in Halli (Ta-jath) and 50 students are actively participated in this camp and 20 volunteers are actively participated in special camp for flood situation held in Bamani ( Ta-Miraj) in the year 2019-20.

2022-23

A Special Camp for 7 days held in Balagaon (Tal-Jath) and 50 students actively participated in this camp and all students work so well.
